Extract from the article published in Jaguar World (former
Jaguar Quarterly) No 3 Jan/Feb 1992:
"After a mile or so I decide it's time for action and
Bertil agrees. Second gear take-off is phenomenal as
the silky V12 pours on its power. Into third and
acceleration reaches another plane, yet there's no
tramp or throttle steer".
" The balance and poise is astonishing. The impression
left by his V12 MK 2 had been deep and even jazz FM
could not keep my thoughts from straying back to the
Jag Sport creation as I drove the XJ the pretty way
home. Here was a MK2 with probably better
acceleration than a full racing version, yet with
virtually unaltered looks and probably greater
refinement than a standard 3.8, and fully capable of
everyday use".
..."There is considerable interest, particularly in
Germany, and output, by necessity, will be limited, and
the product will be unique. I can't help wondering why
nobody has done it before"
